Media alert: Announcement of VSU funding for CSU Bathurst and Orange sport facilities

The Vice-Chancellor of Charles Sturt University Professor Ian Goulter and the Federal Member for Macquarie Kerry Bartlett MP will formally announce VSU Transition Funding for an all-weather, synthetic athletic track and multi-purpose sporting amenities at CSU’s Bathurst Campus, as well as the construction of a soccer field, associated change rooms and weight training facilities at the University’s Orange Campus.

The Vice-Chancellor of Charles Sturt University (CSU) Professor Ian Goulter and the Federal Member for Macquarie Kerry Bartlett MP will formally announce VSU Transition Funding for an all-weather, synthetic athletic track and multi-purpose sporting amenities at CSU’s Bathurst Campus, as well as the construction of a soccer field, associated change rooms and weight training facilities at the University’s Orange Campus.
 
The announcement will take place on Monday 26 February at 9am. Media are invited to attend.
 
The Federal Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon. Julie Bishop MP, is announcing on Monday night how the VSU fund will be distributed nationally.
 
The CSU sporting complex will make the University’s School of Human Movement Studies an international player, according to the Head of School, Associate Professor Frank Marino.
 
Mr Bartlett said: “This grant will benefit the School of Human Movement Studies, greatly enhance the recreational and fitness opportunities for all students and staff, and create a valuable community facility.”
 
Where: The gymnasium, CSU Bathurst Campus.
