Leading marketing expert and educationalist Professor Roger Layton AM, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of New South Wales will give a special seminar on new management practice and its relevance for Australian universities tomorrow, Friday 20 October.

Professor Layton will present his views as part of the Charles Sturt University and LaTrobe University joint seminar series.

With Federal Government funding for higher education at a low and demands for more flexible, lifelong learning being made to universities, Professor Layton will pose the question: How should university managers respond to the change taking place in their world?

Professor Layton, in highlighting the challenges facing university management, will argue that today's contemporary management practices are highly relevant to Australian universities and if adopted can transform the way universities operate.

The seminar will be held in the Boardroom, Main Administration Building, CSU Thurgoona Campus in Albury, commencing at 11am. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
