The importance of good people skills and an ability to be innovative in business, is the message Canberra University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Meredith Edwards, will send to Charles Sturt University Faculty of Commerce graduates, in her keynote address tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

Professor Edwards will talk about the critical role on-going education has to play in the Australian economy and show how the graduates themselves can work to be more successful in the modern economy.

"Australian organisations still have much to do to improve their management skills," she said.

"The message I would like to emphasise… is that management skills are by no means just technical, they are also very much social and interpersonal."
