Charles
Sturt University (CSU) will celebrate its past, present and future with the
inaugural Foundation Day on Wednesday 22 July
2015.
Foundation Day is an annual event that will see CSU campuses become a sea of red and encourage current students and staff, alumni and community to demonstrate their pride at being part of the University.
"Foundation Day is about celebrating the foundation, future and communities of Charles Sturt University," Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann said.
"Foundation Day will be celebrated on campus and online through social media allowing all members of the Charles Sturt University community to come together and show their 'CSU pride'."
All members of the CSU community are being asked to wear red and share a photo of their red attire or their Foundation Day celebrations on social media using the hashtag #celebratecsu. The University will be sharing the on campus action through its Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat.
"We're asking our community to wear red on Wednesday 22 July to show how proud they are to be a student, staff member, alumni or supporter of Charles Sturt University," Manager of Student Engagement Mr Niklaus Granger said.
"We know the Charles Sturt University community is spread around the world and we're hoping to see even the far corners of the globe painted with a little bit of red and a lot of CSU pride on Wednesday.
"A lot of the University community is either studying online or out working in the community so we'll be utilising social media to bring the community together."
CSU in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga will be hosting Foundation Day activities on campus.
