CSU has improved ratings in graduates getting a job and positive graduate outcomes in the 2010 edition of The Good Universities Guide.
Charles Sturt University (CSU) has improved ratings in graduates getting a job and positive graduate outcomes in the 2010 edition of The Good Universities Guide.
The Good Universities Guide compares and rates Australian university performance across a range of indicators, such as access by equity groups, graduate starting salaries and getting a job, using information collated from a variety of sources, including the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and Graduate Council of Australia.
CSU has maintained its national leadership in providing flexible access to higher education for various groups, according to the latest Guide, achieving the highest five star rating for access by equity groups and flexible entry. This is highlighted by CSU receiving five stars for recognition of courses previously completed by students from TAFE colleges.
The University scored an above average four star rating for international students, gender balance and in graduate starting salaries.
CSU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Ian Goulter, said "The University‘s major campuses in inland NSW offer students state-of-the-art teaching facilities. We have also opened a significant amount of new affordable accommodation this year, all in a safe environment.”
“CSU continues to be a national leader in attracting students to a range of professional education programs. This is testament to the University’s concentration on courses that continue to meet the workforce needs of regional and inland Australia,” Professor Goulter said.
