Charles Sturt University (CSU) has achieved some high ratings in the 2009 edition of The Good Universities Guide.
The Good Universities Guide compares and rates Australian university performance across a range of indicators, such as access by equity groups, graduate starting salaries and getting a job, using information collated from a variety of sources, including the federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
CSU has maintained its national leadership in providing flexible access to higher education for various groups, according to the latest Guide, achieving the highest five star rating for access by equity groups and flexible entry.
The University scored an above average four star rating for international students, gender balance and also, importantly, in the key areas of graduate employment and graduate starting salaries.
CSU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Ian Goulter, said it is a very satisfactory result for the University which continues to provide a strong alternative for students wishing to study at a university of inland Australia.
“Our major campuses in inland NSW offer students state-of-the-art facilities and systems, as well as a secure and clean environment.”
Professor Goulter said the University has introduced long-term strategies into its strategic plan to boost its research profile.
