“Work-Integrated-Learning is exactly the approach taken by CSU in its strategy of education of the professions, through an emphasis on industry experience and relevance,” Professor Goulter said.

“This philosophy is important to CSU students because it develops work-ready graduates with the attributes appropriate for active participation in a modern economy.

“It is this emphasis on practicums, clinical placements and industry experience that we believe students need and want and gives them employment advantages and professional competence.”

While at the Assembly, Professor Goulter will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Compostela Group of Universities on behalf of WACE to promote Work-Integrated-Learning.

The General Assembly of the Compostela Group of Universities is a significant gathering of university executives and administrators from around the world. It is one of the largest international university networks and has 81 member universities from 26 nations.
