Over 300 students on three continents will graduate with awards from Charles Sturt University in international graduation ceremonies during September and October.

Graduates from Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the United Kingdom will join the CSU Alumni as the University increases its standing as a leading provider of distance education on an international level.

The University will host its biggest graduation yet in Malaysia where 160 graduates will receive awards in a ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur Hilton on Thursday 1 October. The majority of these graduates who have successfully completed degrees in business and information technology will join others accepting awards in advertising, medical imaging, teacher education and vocational education and training.

CSU’s final overseas graduation ceremony will be held at Hong Kong University on Saturday 3 October involving 71 graduates, many who will accept degrees in library and information management. Awards will also be conferred in visual and performing arts, graphic design, accounting, marketing, special education, education administration and medical imaging.

On 19 September, 65 students from the University’s Faculties of Health Studies, Arts and Education took part in a ceremony in Toronto, Canada. On Monday 28 September, 29 graduates from the Northumbria Ambulance Service College of Paramedical Studies accepted awards from the Faculty of Health Studies.

Graduates in the 1998 overseas ceremonies will join CSU’s Alumni which now has links in 40 countries, with chapters in Hong Kong, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

CSU Chancellor David Asimus is taking part in all overseas ceremonies and is joined this week by Vice-Chancellor Professor Cliff Blake.
