International students on Charles Sturt University's Bathurst Campus will recognise local businesses and community groups who have offered generous assistance in welcoming them to the City.

The inaugural International Students Association Awards will be presented as part of the celebration and entertainment of the annual International Dinner to be held on Saturday 12 August in CSU's main dining room.

President of the ISA on the Bathurst Campus Chitra Ishir-Nasser said the international students wanted to recognise the efforts of so many groups and individuals on campus and within the community who help make their stay in Australia a wonderful experience.

"Our experiences in Bathurst will create memories that will be with us forever," she said.

"So we have tried to offer a comprehensive range of awards that recognise as many people and groups as possible who have helped and supported international students at CSU."

Head of the Bathurst Campus Dr Peter Hodgson said the international student body at CSU makes a significant contribution to the cultural diversity of the campus and to the city of Bathurst.

"The International Dinner is always a colourful and enjoyable evening and an opportunity for everyone in the Bathurst community to interact and experience these cultures.
