Two Charles Sturt University (CSU) buildings have been named award winners at the annual Master Builders Association NSW Excellence in Construction Awards, in a gala night at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

CSU Division of Facilities Management Executive Director, Mr Stephen Butt, said CSU is extremely proud of the buildings it creates and constructs.
“Our particular thanks and congratulations go to National BuildPlan Group and Joss Construction on their award-winning efforts at Orange and Wagga Wagga respectively,” he said.
“Charles Sturt University students have the opportunity to enjoy these great facilities, which have been constructed with commitment and incredible attention to detail by the construction companies.
“The buildings are quality additions to our science-based courses and research, and their finish is testimony to the capacity and experience of our construction partners.”
Both building projects received federal government funding. The Orange Health Building received $7 million under the Teaching and Learning Capital Program. The total cost of this building was approximately $7.2 million. The National Life Sciences Hub received $34 million under the government’s Education Investment Fund, Round Two. The total cost of this building was approximately $46 million.
