Toasting CSU wine education: 25 years on

Winemakers and vignerons from throughout Australia and overseas are expected to return to Wagga Wagga for the 25th reunion of wine education at Charles Sturt University today, Friday 29 June.

 

 
Winemakers and vignerons from throughout Australia and overseas are expected to return to Wagga Wagga for the 25th reunion of wine education at Charles Sturt University today, Friday 29 June. 

The reunion will coincide with the opening of the CD Blake Experimental Winery at the Ron Potter Centre at 11.30am today. The new facility will be opened by Chancellor David Asimus AO and Director-General of NSW Agriculture Dr Kevin Sheridan AO.

Among past students returning to their alma mater is the first graduate of the University's wine science degree, Evan Ward, now winemaker with Morton Estate in New Zealand. 

Since 1978, 564 students have graduated from CSU's leading wine science, viticulture and winegrowing courses.
